A friend of mine has recently launched his own cosmetics line, and I’ve had the chance to purchase and try out a few of his new products. I felt the brand warranted an intro post before I start sharing my reviews on the individual products, though – I mean, just look at the attention to detail on his outer packaging! I still don’t intend for this to become a product-junkie, review-heavy blog, but it’s always worth spreading the word for a friend.
If you order or purchase any items from Flight Deck Cosmetics, your goodies will arrive boxed in an incredibly appropriate little parcel with a smooth satin ribbon and airplane charm ready for takeoff. Davine, the passionate man behind this new line, has clearly placed attention to detail high on his list of priorities. It’s apparent not just in the formulas, of course, but also the packaging, the names, the labels… Everything comes together cohesively, and I just love the concept.
Inspired by the needs and desires of guest-facing airline employees (flight attendants being the obvious ones, but also pilots and gate agents), the line is sleek and affordable. Formulas are beautiful, but also functional, and he’s launched with key products in basic colors that are universally flattering – and uniform-standards-compliant!
I’ve been a little under the weather lately so I haven’t had the chance to test everything I purchased yet, but I’m going to make a point of it this coming week, so look out for reviews on Flight Deck Cosmetics lip gloss, lipstick, and blush.
